Should I sell or rent?

Currently I have just bought a house for £170k, I was originally going to rent it out for about £1k a month, but now someone once to buy it for £200k. Currently I am doing it up and that has cost around £10-15k. If I was to rent it, I would need to pay for all the taxes and it would be a hassle!

Do you think I should sell it or rent it? What would be better for the long run? Let me know your advice?

Does anybody have any knowledge about Sell to Rent properties.?

I own my own home but rent it out because I cant afford to live in it should i sell up or stay on the ladder?

I dont think I will be able to afford to live in the house for a couple of years but I am renting the property out at the moment and this is going well. if i got the asking price for the property it would give me about 27k equity in the property to re-invest somewhere. the rent does cover an interest only mortgage but not the full repayment mortgage at the moment i need to add about 150 to it each months and that is perfectly ok. If i sold up I could afford to save about 4k a year and on 27k i could easy get about 1500 interest. i guess the question is will house prices rise by more than what i can save. what do you guys think. in the last year the avearage increase in house prices near my property are about 7%
i cant downsize as its already a first time buyer home and i bought it for 91k and have a 78k mortgage. similar houses are going for 105K now. i live in the southeast near norwich but i only earn 25500 and it isnt really enought to live comfortablely with (i have high travel costs)

I’ve had a few ideas, just interested in what other people think would be popular or what useful product for sale/service they’d like to see in their supermarket?

my girlfriend is to move in with me, and we cant work out whether to sell or rent her house. is she exempt from cgt if she sells (she's lived there for over three years)? is the tax on renting punitive (she's higher rate)?

Buying and selling my house? Would it be more expensive to sell my house, rent THEN buy ………or?

or sell and buy at the same time..or would the costs be around the same (other than the cost of the rent)……… Wanting to avoid getting stuck in a chain..if i rent in between then i can avoid this by appearing a first time buyer.

Should I sell my house now and rent, with a view to buying again in 2 years when prices have dropped more?

Everyone is saying house prices are going to fall even more – maybe by up to 15% more. So surely it makes sense to sell ASAP bank the equity as cash and wait to pick up a bargain in 2 years time. From a purely financial point of view that must be the right thing to do? if prices go up I will lose – but nobody thinks they will go up for at least a few years.

If my roommate moves out and leaves his belongings here, can I keep them to sell for rent?

Can I rent back my house after selling it?

I've sold my house and got the completion date. But if my buyer is agreeable, I would like to rent it back for a week or two to enable some work on my purchase. What are the pro's and con's? (My buyer won't be moving in immediately.)
